In recent years Dr. Boshnick has increased his services to include providing vision care to those children and adults with disabilities and others with special needs. These includes those who suffer vision loss not only from ocular disease, but who have lost vision from neurological disorders and head trauma. New technologies are here now which allow us to provide visual rehabilitation to those who have lost quality vision from these conditions. We constantly search the globe to bring the latest and most innovative technologies to our patients.

When Dr. Boshnick was asked in a recent interview about his professional goals and objectives, he responded: “My goals and the goals of my staff are to provide our patients with the highest level of service available utilizing the most current advances in technology such as retinal photography, computerized corneal topography, computerized visual field analysis and scanning laser tomography. We will provide our patients with the latest high quality ophthalmic products available including eyewear, contact lens care, and specialty vision aides for the partially sighted. Not all eyes are the same and not everyone can wear the same contact lenses or eyeglass designs. Time and care will be taken to assure our patients that the correct materials will be used for their individual needs in the setting of a private doctor’s office, not a clinic.”

The following words spoken by Robert F. Kennedy have always guided and inspired me when treating patients who have suffered lose of vision and ocular comfort:

“There are those who look at things and ask why… i dream of things that never were and ask why not?”
