I'm not sure I ever envisioned being part of a centerfold picture. We just had the good fortune of making the centerfold of the April Issue of Inc. Magazine which is on the newsstand now. I did a search and you can't find the coverage online so I took a picture and attached it here. Please forgive the poor quality -- it was just fun to share.
I helped co-found Innovega for the purpose of developing a contact lens enabled wearable display technology. Some 40 months later we have succeeded in garnering NSF and DARPA Phase I and II SBIR grants and a piece of a large DARPA program called SCENICC (Soldier Centric Imaging with Computational Cameras) that has at it's core our contact lenses which allow the war fighter to see images from cameras and other digital feed in a hands free manner.
We are also told that we are in the hunt for a the June Popular Science selection as one of the top 10 inventions of the year. We received our first issued US patent last week for which I was the lead inventor.
Please join me in the good feeling of accomplishment on this and the excitement for the quality of life this can bring to a broad continuum of consumers.
Feel free to visit the Innovega web site for more insight into our vision, mission and destination.
